Helikon-Tex Windrunner Pants – Windpack® Nylon are an ultralight outer layer designed to provide effective wind protection in changing weather conditions. These pants were created as an emergency windproof solution you can always carry with you and put on whenever the wind starts reducing your comfort — especially during breaks or lower-intensity activity.

They are made from lightweight, quick-drying Windpack® Nylon, which effectively limits wind penetration and protects against heat loss. The hydrophobic outer coating increases resistance to dirt and moisture, making the pants easier to maintain and ensuring long-lasting performance even during intensive use.

The construction is highly compact. Thanks to the self-pack system, the pants can be packed into their own pocket, which turns into a practical pouch when reversed. Once packed, they easily fit into a backpack, waist pack, or even a cargo pocket, making them an ideal backup layer for sudden weather changes.

Windrunner Pants are designed as an overlayer to be worn over regular trousers. The full-length double side zippers allow for quick on-and-off without removing footwear, while also improving ventilation during movement. The lower legs are adjustable with hook-and-loop straps to stabilize the zippers and adapt the width to footwear and terrain. The adjustable waistband with shock cord ensures a secure fit over multiple clothing layers.

Pass-through openings allow access to the pockets of the trousers worn underneath, while cargo pockets provide space for small essentials. Reinforced knees improve durability in high-wear areas, and a mesh ventilation panel at the back yoke enhances airflow during intense activity. Functional details such as accessory loops and paracord eyelets for suspenders increase versatility in the field.
