Helikon-Tex Tramontane Windbreaker Jacket - Available in Multiple Variants

The ultralight Tramontane jacket by Helikon-Tex bridges the gap between the Blizzard softshell and the Windrunner jacket. The Tramontan jacket folds into a breast pocket (so-called selfpack) and takes up little space when compressed (less than a 1 liter bottle!). It can be placed in a trouser pocket or a bicycle pannier. In summer, it can provide protection on colder days and acts as a tourist jacket. When worn with a fleece, it provides practical protection even during autumn days. The loose cut of the Tramontane jacket means that it does not restrict the user's movements. The jacket is made of extremely light and durable material WindPack® Nylon, thanks to which it weighs only 120 g. The TRAMONTANE jacket is fastened along its entire length with a reliable YKK® zipper. It has an adjustable hood that protects the head from wind and rain. At the bottom, the jacket can be adjusted to the figure with cuffs, thanks to which it protects against gusts of wind even more effectively and allows you to keep the heat inside. The sleeves are secured with elastic bands in the cuffs. On the left side, at chest height, the TRAMONTANE jacket has a zipped pocket where you can hide documents, money or other small items. The name of the jacket comes from the cool wind Tramontana (Latin: transmontanus - "living behind the mountains"), which arises when there is high pressure in the western Mediterranean or the Alps, and low pressure in the Adriatic Sea.
