The Lightweight Poncho Polyester from Helikon-Tex is a lightweight rain poncho designed to protect against harsh weather, made from durable ripstop polyester and capable of serving as both rain protection and an emergency shelter. It is a lighter, improved version of the classic U.S. Model Poncho, with non-essential elements removed to reduce weight and packing size while maintaining full usability. The replacement of metal grommets with strong webbing loops further reduces weight and bulk without compromising performance. The poncho features two snaps that allow the creation of makeshift sleeves for better stability while moving, and the redesigned hood with a practical drawstring provides improved fit and weather protection. When folded, the poncho can be stored in the included carry pouch, and all mounting points are reinforced with ripstop fabric for increased durability.
