Helikon-Tex Signal Mirror - Available in Multiple Variants

The Helikon-Tex® Signaling Mirror is a compact rescue mirror that has been specially designed to allow for aiming reflected sunlight over long distances. Compared to a regular mirror, reflecting light over short distances is easy, but regular mirrors do not provide enough precision over larger distances. The signaling mirror has a special hole in the center that works similarly to a collimator, enabling aiming of reflected light over greater distances. In emergency situations, such as calling for help with an SOS signal, the mirror allows for effective signal transmission, for example by aiming at a ship or plane. Of course, visibility depends on weather conditions, sunlight, and terrain, but under good conditions, reflected light can be seen even from distances of several kilometers. The back of the mirror features instructions and an emergency button compass, making it the simplest rescue kit.
