The compact Scout Mk2 compass by Helikon is a great assistant for map reading. It is a universal map compass with a transparent angle scale and a ruler in centimeters and inches. Map scales 1: 25000, 1: 24000, 1: 62500, 1: 50000 facilitate quick distance reading. The compass measuring 110 x 60 x 10 millimeters weighs only 95 grams. The Scout Compass Mk2 is filled with liquid to increase reliability. The precise limbus has been graduated in 1 degree steps. The lightweight Helikon-Tex compass comes with a durable cord that can be threaded through the handle. This helps to avoid getting lost - the equipment can be attached to a backpack or hung around the neck. A simple navigation accessory is always useful when you do not want to use common electronic methods or they are simply not available.
