Direct Action Vanguard Combat Trousers® – All Available Variants

The Vanguard Combat Trousers by Direct Action are a fundamental component of the Vanguard uniform. The design of these trousers prioritizes maximum durability, ergonomics, and freedom of movement. This has been achieved, among other things, through the use of a combination of different fabrics. The primary part of the trousers is made from NyCo RipStop fabric with reinforcing inserts made of Cordura® 500D material, which serve as pockets for optional protective inserts. This ensures high garment durability. Special elements made from four-way stretch softshell fabric provide maximum freedom of movement. The Vanguard combat trousers feature a velcro closure for smooth waist adjustment. The fly is zippered. They also have sturdy belt loops and velcro straps to adjust the width around the knees and at the bottom of the legs. A well-thought-out array of spacious pockets allows for carrying essential items. Two classic front pockets with reinforced edges, thigh pockets with a zippered organizer, side pockets with flap and velcro, as well as small velcro pockets at the bottom of the legs, prove to be highly functional.

The fabric composition is 39% cotton, 60% nylon and 1% elastane, while four-way stretch gussets are used in areas that need additional movement. At 602 g in size M, the trousers combine this mixed-fabric construction with the Cordura® 500D knee zones and their knee-pad pockets.

The material layout is tied directly to movement and protection zones: NYCO forms the main fabric, four-way stretch gussets are placed where extra movement is needed, and Cordura® 500D knee reinforcements also act as pockets for optional knee pads. Separate adjustment at the knees and leg cuffs lets those reinforced areas be positioned without relying only on waist fit.
