Helikon-Tex Wolfhound Hoodie Windpack® Nylon Field is a lightweight, warm and compact insulated jacket designed for demanding outdoor use. The PL Woodland version uses materials with NIR/IRR properties that help reduce silhouette contrast when viewed through near-infrared equipment.

Climashield® Apex™ 67 g/m² insulation

Climashield® Apex™ synthetic insulation retains its insulating properties when wet and does not clump like down. It is lightweight, breathable and highly compressible. The jacket can be worn as a standalone layer in cold conditions or as an insulating layer under a hardshell jacket.

Windpack® Nylon

The lightweight, quick-drying outer fabric helps protect against wind chill, improving thermal comfort during stops and lower-intensity activities. A hydrophobic finish increases resistance to dirt and moisture penetration.

Freedom of movement and protection

Elastic VersaStretch® panels under the arms improve mobility during dynamic activities. Elastic binding at the cuffs and hem helps reduce heat loss and prevents cold air from entering the jacket.

The adjustable hood with elastic binding protects against wind and light rain. A two-way main zipper provides easier access to equipment worn on the belt and supports ventilation.

Functional storage

The jacket features four YKK® zippered pockets for secure storage of essential equipment.

• side pockets – positioned to remain accessible when wearing a backpack hip belt,
• internal pocket – for documents, a wallet and other small items,
• chest pocket – suitable for a phone, small notebook or map.

Velcro® panels on the shoulders allow the jacket to be personalized with patches.

NIR / IRR – PL Woodland

Materials used in Field products are selected to provide near-infrared properties as close as possible to those of a natural woodland environment. This helps reduce silhouette contrast when observed with near-infrared equipment.

The materials are tested both in laboratory conditions and in the field using a spectrophotometer and analog night vision devices.
