Helikon-Tex Raid PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop Field Shirt is a classic combat shirt in a modern, functional design, developed for demanding field use.

PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop – Durability and Mobility

The PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop fabric combines durability, comfort and freedom of movement. The cotton-polyester blend provides breathability, quick drying and resistance to wear, while the addition of elastane provides two-way stretch for unrestricted movement.

The Ripstop weave reinforces the fabric structure, helping prevent potential damage from spreading and increasing the overall durability of the garment.

Comfortable Raglan Construction

The Raid shirt features a raglan construction, improving freedom of movement and comfort around the shoulders and arms. This type of construction is relatively uncommon in military clothing, but it is also used in the US IHWCU (Improved Hot Weather Combat Uniform).

8 Functional Pockets

The shirt is equipped with 8 functional pockets for convenient equipment organization:

• 2 large upper-arm pockets – spacious pockets with a dual closure system. The quick-access hook-and-loop closure can be used for fast access, or the hook-and-loop panels can be covered with dedicated flaps and the Canadian buttons can be used for increased discretion.
• 2 small upper-arm pockets – flat pockets designed, among other things, for carrying a baseplate compass.
• 2 chest pockets – spacious pockets secured with two covered Canadian buttons and equipped with loops for attaching accessories using cord.
• 2 internal pockets – discreet mesh pockets located at chest level. One of them features a YKK® zipper.

Functionality and Customization

The shirt is secured with covered Canadian buttons sewn onto a durable tape. Hook-and-loop panels on the shoulders and above the chest pockets allow for easy personalization.

The Raid shirt can be combined with SFU Mk2 or BDU Mk2 trousers to create a complete uniform. It also works well as a standalone garment for field activities, urban use and range training.

NIR / IRR – PL Woodland

Products in PL Woodland Field camouflage provide NIR (Near Infrared), also known as IRR (Infrared Reflective), functionality.

The materials used help reduce silhouette contrast when viewed through devices operating in the near-infrared spectrum. All visible fabrics and components have been selected to absorb, reflect and transmit radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural woodland environment.

The materials are tested both in laboratory and field conditions using spectrophotometers and analogue night vision devices.
