Chicom Chest Rig Cordura® 500D Field by Helikon-Tex is a classic design in a modern configuration. This lightweight and simple chest rig is designed to comfortably carry essential equipment. Centrally positioned magazine pouches provide quick access while moving or working in confined spaces, while the design works well with a backpack.

The chest rig is made of durable 500D Cordura® with a DWR coating, increasing abrasion resistance and reducing water absorption. Woojin® components ensure reliable performance under heavy loads and changing temperatures.

Key features:

• 3 hook-and-loop flap pouches for AK/AR magazines,
• flaps can be replaced with pullers for faster access,
• internal pocket for maps, documents or Competition/VIS inserts,
• MOLLE/PALS panels on the front and rear,
• hook-and-loop panel for mounting as a front flap on a plate carrier or attaching a dangler,
• expandable with additional modules.

The Field PL Woodland version features NIR/IRR (Near Infrared / Infrared Reflective) properties, helping to reduce silhouette contrast in the near-infrared spectrum. The materials and components are selected to closely match the natural woodland environment. They are tested both in the laboratory and in the field using a spectrophotometer and analogue night vision devices.

The name Chicom refers to a design originating from the People's Republic of China. Simple chest-mounted pouches worn with shoulder straps appeared in the Chinese military in the 1940s and later gained popularity, including during the Vietnam War.
