Boonie Hat Mk2 PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop Field by Helikon-Tex is a lightweight and durable military-style hat designed for field use. Made from PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop, it combines breathability, quick drying, durability and two-way stretch for greater freedom of movement.

The Mk2 features a lighter construction with fewer fabric layers, providing improved comfort during extended wear, especially in hot conditions. Mesh ventilation eyelets improve airflow and support head ventilation.

Functional loops around the hat allow you to attach grass, leaves and branches for improved camouflage. They can also hold small accessories such as a clip-on flashlight. Additional features include an attachment loop, an IR marker hook-and-loop panel and a contrasting interior, which can be used to identify the wearer or position in an emergency.

The PL Woodland version features NIR (Near Infrared) / IRR (Infrared Reflective) properties, helping reduce silhouette contrast when viewed through near-infrared devices. Visible fabrics and components are selected to provide characteristics similar to the natural woodland environment. Materials are tested both in the laboratory and in the field using a spectrophotometer and analogue night-vision devices.

The hat's colours and camouflage pattern are matched to tactical clothing, helping it blend naturally with the rest of the equipment.
