The Helikon-Tex Recon Smock DuraCanvas® Heavy is a functional field jacket inspired by the classic military smock. Designed for reconnaissance, observation, and sniper operations, it provides ample storage for essential equipment without the need for a separate tactical belt.

Durable DuraCanvas® Heavy Fabric

The jacket is made from densely woven DuraCanvas® Heavy fabric, offering increased wind resistance and durability for demanding outdoor use. The material can also be waxed for additional weather protection.

11 Functional Pockets

The 11-pocket design allows equipment to be distributed conveniently throughout the jacket, reducing the need for additional belt-mounted pouches.

Four large main pockets with storm flaps and Canadian buttons provide space for larger items. Two zippered chest pockets offer quick access to maps, documents, and small accessories. Additional expandable sleeve pockets and two side pockets provide extra storage for essential gear.

A large rear poacher pocket accommodates a poncho, lightweight insulated jacket, or other soft equipment. Zippers on both sides allow access without removing the jacket. Selected pockets feature loops for securing small items and helping prevent loss.

Ventilation and Adjustable Fit

Large underarm ventilation zippers improve airflow during hiking and strenuous activity. The main closure combines a zipper with Canadian buttons, allowing you to adapt the jacket to changing conditions.

The adjustable hood, adjustable waist and hem help tailor the fit to your body and the layers worn underneath. Hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs allow sleeve width adjustment, while hook-and-loop panels on the shoulders provide space for patches.
